Tough as nails, sexy Gas Town inspired fashion and beauty shoot

Anchor 1

This wacky spring fashion and beauty shoot concept is inspired by the 2015 Golden Globe-nominated film, Mad Max: Fury Road. If you’re not familiar with the movie, it’s the fourth installment of the Mad Max movie series directed by George Miller.

While the first 3 movies starred Mel Gibson, this more recent film starred Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, who played the tough-as-nails, badass commander, Furiosa.

In this dystopian future, mankind struggles to survive in an apocalyptic wasteland ruled by the villainous Immortan Joe and his army of War Boys. When Mad Max is captured by Joe’s henchmen, he joins forces with the formidable Imperator Furiosa, who is attempting to lead Joe’s wives to freedom.

This fashion concept is based on Gas Town, or “Guzzolene” town, where all of the gas in The Wasteland Is refined and pushed out to other parts of The Wasteland.

We found the perfect post-apocalyptic-looking, rusty gas pump for this shoot that really captures the feel of the movie. The red colors from the pump and backdrop imitate the fiery landscape and ruggedness that really bring the whole scene together.

The outfits we feature in this shoot are inspired by the clothes and accessories Furiosa would wear in Gas town. These outfits are courageous and rebellious in a way that ties this concept together perfectly!

These killer Tory Burch accessories compliment this jumpsuit by Harley Davidson perfectly.
